Tip 1. Research

 

Picking a good locksmith is no easy task you have to acquire information before selecting one. Consult acquaintances on who does their locksmith service for them. Surf the internet and look at the yellow pages, prepare a list of locksmith service in your area. Take note of their performance by checking reviews and blogs.

 

Tip 2. Plan

 

Prepare a chart comparing the different locksmith companies. Use the services they offer and price estimates they provide as criteria. Prepare a shortlist eliminating those that does not meet your requirement. Shy away from companies who operate under different names and have several locations.

 

Tip 3. Site visit

 

From the shortlist, prepare a site visit. Check out if they are accredited by the government’ their business license should cover the current year. Inquire if they are a member of Associated Locksmiths of America (AOLA) and if their key technicians are Certified Registered Locksmith (CRL) passers. Take notice if their service vehicles carry the company logo on them. Ask if they accept credit card payment, if they accept cash only be suspicious. Written estimates should be provided before work begins. Employees must be courteous and customer friendly.

 

Tip 4. Everything okay
